Triumph in Cannes

16 crews from France, Italy, England and Russia participated the annual regatta SB20 Cannes Sailing Cup that took place 18 - 20 March in Cannes (France).

Russia was represented by 4 teams: the leader of Russian fleet Melston Team, VIS Sailing Team, MST gaining experience in SB20 class and the novice B Team. By results of desperate 3-day competition Melston Team with Kirill Frolov, Alexey Murashkin and Yegor Ignatenko in the staff have become the winners of the Sailing Cup. VIS Sailing Team took the second place, BTeam rose at the 4th position and MST fixed at the 9th place. “It was the first regatta in this season for us – Kirill Frolov, the helmsman of Melston Team says – We observed it as a workout and it passed very successfully! It was a great experience for me because it was my only 3rd regatta as a helmsman. But I feel my capacity and surely we'll be enhancing with every race. We are glad to congratulate our team with the triumph and hope that they will reaffirm the high level of Russian sailing sport over and over again.
