Andrey Balyakin – IT director of Melston Group has become the winner of Russian Snowkiting Championship 2016!

The contest took place in Tolyatti as a part of International marathon “Zhigulevskoe Morye”.

123 athletes from 35 cities in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan participated the Championship. There were 12 races in course racing where Andrey won the golden medal. The weather was extremely severe: the competitors had to slide over the moist snow blown by the wind from weak to stormy. ‘The conditions are rather difficult here,’ the winner comments his race, ‘ ice hummocks, uneven bumpy surface. But the area itself is told to be really beautiful. Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to make sure in it because inside the competition only distance and competitors are observed and nothing more!’ Andrey laughs.
