The new yard

14.07.14 the new corporate network “Yard” based on “Yammer” platform has been launched in “Melston” Group.

“Yammer” which is informally called “Facebook for business” was created in 2008 and has become one of the most popular platforms for business communication, exchange of knowledge and information storage. Today Yammer is being used by nearly 80% of companies from Fortune 500.

The main goal of “Yard” implantation was to join 32 geographically divided offices into united system, the members of which would be able to share the information, coordinate mutual projects and support the informal communication. Anyway, the possibilities of the new system are much more wide!

As Kirill Frolov, CEO of “Melston” Group mentioned: “The new network in the long term will help us to bring together the employees of our Group’s numerous branches, located in the different time zones of our boundless country. Besides it brings the possibility of online communication, and is going to become the powerful business-tool to share and collect the information. The digitized knowledge of more than 1000 workers will be available for any of them due to convenient search in “Yard’s bosom”. That in turn will help us to increase the service level, because the problems are supposed to be solved in the shortest terms with maximum effectiveness through the priceless experience of our professionals who “Yard” was implemented for.

The high attention will be paid to such topics as “LEAN at work and life” and “The world of ideas”. Within the confines of these topics the new ideas and initiatives directed to enhance the inner and outer business processes proposed by the workers of “Melston” will be considered.

Except for the intranet for mutual work, there are some innovations to be provided for our customers. The client will be allowed to get the access to specially allotted segments in “Yard”. There the customer will be able to work on the project together with the team of Melston, share with proposals and opinions, participate the discussions etc… We have an urgent demand in having the permanent dialogue with our partners and customers to see their needs more clearly!

The launch of “Yard” was preceded by the long run-up. The project team consisted of technical specialists and administrators of “Yard” developed the network conception, tested its technical abilities and features.

And now the network has begun working. At last!
